I wanted to thank you for the care and quality of your work. Prior to contracting with your company to replace our tile roof, I researched forty-five general contractors and roofing companies through both the California State Licensing Board and the Better Business Bureau. The CSLB provided information on such things as Bonding history and Workers' Compensation history, including any lapses of coverage, as well as interesting information on whether a company had licenses under other names, or were actually one named business "doing business under" a different named business. The BBB was informative in matters such as rating the business, including the reason for the rating, customer complaints and how they were handled, as well as interesting facts such as the BB file being opened on a company prior, apparently, to the company being licensed to do business. From the forty-five companies researched, I interviewed the representative for each of the five businesses whose records appeared to be superior to the rest.
You were the first to schedule what you thought would simply be an appointment to provide your quote. As you know, the appointment was much more than that. Having also researched the latest in roofing techniques and guidelines, I subject each "candidate" to an interview requiring answers to an exhaustive list of questions.
While it is said that being first puts on at a disadvantage, in your case, being first wasn't a challenge at all. The quality you insist upon in your company was evident in the interview. The competing company interviews that followed could not even come close.
As good as the CSLB and BBB research showed you to be, and as highly as I rated you based on my interview criteria, I still didn't make a decision until I looked at some of the work of the two "finalists" in my search. Once again, there was simply no competition. Compared to the other company's roofs, the only way I can describe your company's work is to say that your roofs looked perfect. Everything about them was simply beautiful. You know your craft, insist upon professionalism, attention to detail, and quality workmanship from your team, and insure that you provide everything provided.
I hope that this letter will show others what you have to offer. The professionalism of your team, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. Our roof is beatiful, and we have already received compliments not only from neighbors, but also from a contractor who watched your work as he did indoor work at a neighbor's home.
